Description

Venteon Finance is currently seeking an INTERNATIONAL TRADE MANAGER for a long-time manufacturing client outside of the Automotive industry.

REQUIREMENTS of the International Trade Manager

  • Bachelor s degree in Supply, International Business or related field
  • 5+ years of import-export Compliance experience
  • Global / International Customs / Trade compliance experience
  • Certified Customs Specialist ( CCS ) designation preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES of the International Trade Manager

  • Develop, implement, document, and maintain comprehensive and efficient trade compliance initiatives for the organization
  • Conduct regular audits and standardized self-audit processes to identify potential trade compliance issues associated with operational procedures
  • Monitor changes in global trade policies and advise stakeholders accordingly
  • Manage company-wide CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism) requirements
  • Coordinate and manage international logistics, including ocean, air, and ground transport
  • Negotiate contracts to optimize costs and delivery timeline
  • Facilitate customs clearance processes and ensure accurate documentation for imports and exports
  • Collaborate with customs officials to resolve any discrepancies or compliance challenges
  • Exercise active collaboration with strategic teams during all facets of negotiating international proposals and contracts
  • Provide guidance and interpretation on INCOTERMS, discuss terms, roles and responsibilities of parties
  • Evaluate tax implications and optimize cost avoidance opportunities utilizing preferential treatment of applicable Free Trade Agreements
  • Identify strategic training initiatives to elevate awareness and knowledge across the organization
