Job overview: As an International Underwriting Assistant, you’ll support the Real Estate team in expanding into the international market through underwriting and administrative assistance. The portfolio is varied with highly sought-after clients, spanning both UK and International Programmes. AXA are one of the lead insurers for Real Estate clients, working with specialist brokers and a team that are well respected in the industry, having built a strong reputation, of which we take great pride. Key responsibilities: Collaborate with underwriting teams to create innovative, bespoke client solutions. Build strong partnerships with global network partners to meet service standards. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and local territory requirements. Aid in business development and client relationship management activities. Coordinate with AXA International Services for consistent underwriting information presentation. Assist in delivering new business within profitability, budget, and timescale targets, and ensure timely, accurate policy documentation. Support claims processes and account reconciliation, including overseas payments and risk information provision. Work arrangements: At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least three days a week (60%) away from home. Away from home means attending the office in London, visiting clients or attending industry events. We’re also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition. Your skills & experience: Background in commercial insurance. Understanding and experience of the underwriting aspect of the Real Estate market is preferred. Sound knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements. Ability to influence senior stakeholders. Capable of working to deadlines. Ability to analyse data and a good understand of excel is preferred. As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom. This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
