Temporary Regular Part Time
Salary Range: $20.60 - $20.60 /hour
This temporary part-time position is expected to extend until December 10, 2025, and is subject to the availability of work.
Through a patient and family-centered approach, the Supervised Practice Experience Partnership (SPEP) applicant will work under the direct and/or indirect supervision of registered staff, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team as an unregulated care provider, to promote and advocate for wellness while ensuring the delivery of holistic, high quality and safe care to patients.
This is an exciting opportunity for Internationally Educated Applicants with approved eligibility through the College of Nurses of Ontario to demonstrate their evidence of practice and language proficiency. SPEP applicants will work at one of our five major sites.
Reporting to the Professional Practice Partnership Program, the SPEP applicant’s hours will mirror those of the preceptor. The scheduling of these hours will be determined based on organizational needs and may include day/evening and weekend shifts.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Eligibility to participate verified by the College of Nurses of Ontario ? Letter from CNO required
  • Current certificate in Basic Cardiac Life Support
  • Ability to work independently in patient care areas with direct and indirect supervision from a nurse
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Knowledge of a safety culture in a health care setting in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Ability to apply effective body mechanics and lift and transfer skills to meet physical demands
  • Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated flexibility and organizational skills

Immunization Requirements

  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella, varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, COVID-19 and influenza.
  • Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
