SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field;
  • Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and experience in UI/UX design or data visualization is a plus;
  • A strong interest in the space sector and its unique challenges;
  • Creativity and resourcefulness in tackling complex, interdisciplinary problems;
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in an international, multi-disciplinary environment;
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
Responsibilities

As part of the internship, the candidate will focus on exploring and implementing AI methodologies to develop user interfaces (UIs) and data visualizations based on textual inputs or graphical references. This involves:

  • Research: Investigating state-of-the-art AI technologies for generating UI designs and visualizations tailored to space mission requirements;
  • Prototyping: Building and testing solutions for transforming mission data or specifications into functional and visually engaging interfaces;
  • Application to Space Contexts: Using real-world examples from past and ongoing space missions to guide the development process.
