HACKING THE PHYSICS AND ECONOMICS OF MOTION CONTROL WITH DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY
At Synapticon we’re reshaping the world of motion control for robotics and machinery at the point of motion.
The company introduces an entirely new approach to motion axes by integrating formerly discrete components, such as motors, drives, sensors and gearboxes into seamless units and digitizing performance and quality factors that are so far dependent on costly mechanical manufacturing. Innovation leaders around the world choose to work with Synapticon to path their way into the future of intelligent, motion control-related systems. Be part of it, join Synapticon!
YOUR MISSION
We are looking for an Intern - AI Safety Analysis Engineer (m/f/d) for a 6-month mandatory internship.
In one of our projects we develop cutting-edge solutions to ensure the safe interaction of AI-powered robots with humans. Our focus is on vision- and AI-based robotics safety analysis, where we analyze human-robot interaction scenarios to identify potential risks and prevent accidents.
We need a curious and analytical person to support implementation and evaluation of our AI safety mechanisms. You will be responsible for developing AI safety assessment methodologies (VLM - Vision-Language-Models), analyzing robotic vision data, and ensuring that AI-driven robotics systems can interact safely with their environment.
A solid understanding of AI methods and Vision-Language-Models is essential as well as experience in training and inference of VLMs. Experience with Python and image processing tools will be beneficial. Knowledge of robotics principles and human-robot interaction is a plus, as you will work closely with robotic platforms and datasets.
Your main responsibility will be analyzing robotic vision data to identify hazards and contribute to the development of AI safety systems.
