Your mission Overview of the position: Hours: Full-time (39 hours per week) Starting date: 01.07.2026 Monthly salary: €603 Duration: limited contract until 31.12.2026¸ a six-month internship is possible, or it can be split into two periods of three months each, starting on July 1, 2026, and October 1, 2026, respectively. Location: Tübingen (or Berlin) Department & reporting line: Peace Education, Head of Unit ​ The project "Spurenleser - Das Portal für Entschwörung und Wissen" offers cross-phenomenon multimedia information for interested parties, those affected and multipliers from Hesse (and nationwide). Users can test their knowledge of conspiracy narratives and disinformation in an interactive self-test and expand their knowledge through numerous information offerings (articles, explanatory films, podcasts, infographics, etc.). The involvement of Hessian micro-influencers and social media activities increases and contextualizes the reach of the target group. Expert interviews with representatives of different target groups ensure that content and formats are tailored to the target group. The project DEEP addresses the emotional drivers that underpin disinformation. Designed for young people aged 18–25 in Bulgaria, Germany, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Serbia, DEEP goes beyond fact-checking by introducing an innovative method based on analysing so-called “deep stories”. Your main tasks: In close collaboration with the project teams, you will primarily take on supporting tasks in the following areas: Writing articles for the website Spurenlesen Preparing and following up on focus groups and interviews for DEEP Assisting with the conceptualization and development of learning materials Conducting research activities Supporting administrative and organizational tasks, such as preparing and following up on events Contributing to public relations work, including maintaining the project website and supporting the project’s Instagram and Facebook channel Your responsibilities Your knowledge, experience & skills You are currently enrolled at a university, preferably studying Peace and Conflict Studies, Educational Sciences, Political Science, Media Studies, Psychology, or a related field You possess solid knowledge in the field of research on disinformation, conspiracy theories, extremism, and/or prevention You have already gained some initial experience in the practical application and production of media as well as in the development of learning materials A confident demeanor, strong communication skills, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team come naturally to you Ideally, you have already gained some practical experience in youth work or civic/political education Fluency in German and English (written and spoken) In addition, we expect you to bring enthusiasm for the role and for working with people, very good MS Office skills.
