Key responsibilities in your new role: Hands-on Experience: Gain valuable insights on the latest automotive microcontroller development and in the power management of state-of-the-art microcontrollers Circuit and systems analysis: Analyze, model, simulate or measure analog mixed-signal circuits and systems Power consumption analysis: Investigate and develop innovative methods to analyze power consumption of analog-mixed signal systems, with a focus on dynamic power consumption Data Processing: Perform data acquisition and post-processing, integrating AI/ML-driven solutions to enhance automation and efficiency in Electronic Design Automation (EDA) workflows and to identify optimization opportunities Optional Master Thesis: Focus on dynamic power consumption in ICs (modeling, estimation, and reduction) or on AI-driven pre/post-silicon analytics (feature extraction, regression/classification, clustering for yield/debug) The completion of a Master’s thesis as part of this position is possible and supported. Further Information: Type of employment: Temporary / Part-time or Full-time (flexible working hours from Monday to Friday between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.) Duration: min. 6 months Qualifications and skills to help you succeed: Education: Student enrolled in a master degree program in Electrical/Electronical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Computer Science or a similar field Knowledge: A solid understanding of basic electronics designs, ICs architecture, power electronics and digital signal processing chains, as well as basic understanding of AI, ML and Big Data algorithms Technical Skills: Familiarity with simulation tools and methodologies for ICs validation, basic programming skills (Matlab/Python and RTL-oriented description language as VHDL/SystemVerilog) and AI/ML frameworks and algorithms for automating pre- and post-silicon data analysis Organizational Skills: Flexibility and good time management skills, as well as a genuine interest in learning new topics Communication Skills: Ability of working effectively across other departments Language Skills: Fluent in English, German is a plus This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry (full-time), employment group B for bachelor students, employment group D for master students (https://www.feei.at/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/minimum-salaries-white-collar-workers-2025.pdf).
