Access Services is offering an internship within our Behavior Supports & Assessments program supporting children, adolescents, and adults across the southeastern PA region. You can learn more about the work we do at: https://www.accessservices.org/services/behavior-supports-and-assessments/ This internship will be completed remotely and offered to a candidate seeking school credit to be completed during the Fall 2026 semester. Within this internship, a highly valuable learning opportunity exists to gain understanding and experience utilizing the systems and processes for behavior supports offered across the lifespan. This position is ideal for those interested in gaining more knowledge about the behavioral health field from an administrative perspective. Internship Schedule: 15-20 hours/weekly; Available hours for internship are Monday-Friday, 9am-1pm (Preferred schedule, some flexibility). Location: Remote internship, completed by an intern who is present within Montgomery County. This internship is only for bachelor's level students who have academic requirements for an internship. The intern should have already completed the CPSL (Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse: Mandated and Permissive Reporting in Pennsylvania Online Training). This training can be taken for free at: reportabusepa.pitt.edu Key Responsibilities: Assist program leadership with referrals, relationship building, marketing and growth of clients across the lifespan for both clients (IBHS) and adults (Behavior Supports). Intern will learn about systems and processes for behavior support Intern will learn to navigate referrals, access to care, and discharge processes Intern will assist with relationship building Intern will learn how to utilize an Electronic Health Record (Evolv) to input referrals. Intern will call families as well as supports coordinators and case managers as needed to get information about incoming referrals. Intern will be able to have contact with clients and our clinical team as needed to gather information about referrals. Intern will be asked to help market our program across all regions. Intern will learn process and procedures with obtaining authorizations for client services. Qualifications: Candidate seeking a bachelor's degree in a Human Services related field for school credit is required. Proficient in and able to use Microsoft Office suite, and learn and use any platforms, and technologies required. Ability to specifically learn and use HCSIS platform, Evolv Behavioral Health, and RETHINK ABA program. Quick learner who is independent and able to learn a system and navigate it well. Organized administrative skills. Energetic and enthusiastic when engaging in customer service. Someone who can take initiative on a project. Professional manner with individuals served, and when working with outside agencies. Essential Working Conditions/Physical Demands: Utilize laptop and phone to complete all assigned tasks. Required Clearances, to be completed before first day of internship, including: PA Criminal Clearance Child Abuse Clearance Physical * Detailed instructions and guidance regarding the clearance process will be provided directly by Human Resources upon selection. * Rate of $15/hour School credit for students completing a bachelor's degree in a Human Services-related field.
