In order to support the Assembly Integration and Test, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a

INTERNSHIP WITHIN AIT (ASSEMBLY INTEGRATION AND TEST) FOR OPTICAL INSTRUMENTS (D/F/M)

Your tasks and responsibilities

Support for the AIT Phase. For example:

  • Support of Integration/Assembly activities
  • Writing/Revising of integration and test procedures
  • Work in Cleanroom conditions
  • Support during test campaign
  • Harness integration and routing
  • Electrical and functional integration

Plan of AIT (Assembly, Integration and Test). For example:

  • Analysis of Integration Sequence
  • Hardware analysis and integration planning
  • Writing documentation with space standards
  • Assembly sequence development for optical alignment procedures
  • Simulation of integration steps with CAD tools accessibility checks and feasibility of tasks
  • Analysis of constraints and “AIT-bility”

CAD and Analysis. For example:

  • Design of Ground Support Equipment using space standards
  • Simulate the integration steps with CAD
  • Constraints Analysis

Planning Electronic Setup for test activities. For example:

  • Specification
  • Test harness implications
  • Cooperation with electrical assembly and electrical engineering
  • Automated test procedure coding
  • Script Debugging

Software Programming of Test Routines

  • Writing/Maintenance of Excel, MS Project, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint and Catia macros
  • Programming of new routines
  • Script development

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Enrolled full time student within Aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering or similar field of study
  • You have Software skills (programming languages)
  • Your English is fluent and you speak German
  • You are a good team player, have excellent communication skills, and are able to work independently

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
