Company Description At Bosch, we shape the future by inventing high-quality technologies and services that spark enthusiasm and enrich people’s lives. Our promise to our associates is rock-solid: we grow together, we enjoy our work, and we inspire each other. Join in and feel the difference. The Robert Bosch GmbH is looking forward to your application! Job Description Digital twins — high-fidelity virtual replicas of physical systems — are essential for accelerating modern robotics research, allowing for rapid and safe testing of complex algorithms. The goal of this project is to build a realistic simulation environment for our humanoid robot, creating a "digital twin" for advanced development. During your internship, your work will involve importing the robot's 3D model into a simulator, such as NVIDIA Isaac Sim or Gazebo, and configuring its physics and sensors. You will be responsible for building a virtual world for the robot to interact with. In addition, you will implement a Robot Operating System (ROS) bridge to enable the simulated robot to be controlled using the same software that runs on the physical hardware. Last but not least, you will validate this using a benchmark manipulation task. Qualifications Education: Master studies in the field of Computer Science, Robotics, Mechatronics or comparable with good academic standing Experience and Knowledge: good programming skills in Python and Torch comfort working in a Linux environment familiarity with C++ or the Robot Operating System (ROS) is highly desirable prior experience with 3D modelling, game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal) or robotics simulation advantageous Personality and Working Practice: you are a motivated and independent individual with a hands-on mentality and a passion for robotics and simulation Work Routine: this role requires a significant on-site presence for hands-on work with robotics hardware, however, partially mobile working is possible when tasks permit Languages: very good in English Additional Information Start: according to prior agreement Duration: 3 - 6 months Requirement for this internship is the enrollment at university. Please attach your CV, transcript of records, enrollment certificate, examination regulations and if indicated a valid work and residence permit.
