Description
Main tasks for our interns will be to participate in innovation projects and demo events, as well as make ideas come to life. We gather and drive proof-of-concept activities, build mockups and demo objects that might move further into product development. We work in teams with a startup/agile setup where all are empowered to contribute, share, grow and succeed. Our lab is an arena where we foster innovation, explore, and collaborate with external parties such as academia and other companies. Lab projects are early-phase concept projects with the goal to educate the public as well as explore technology possibilities beyond traditional boundaries. Examples of areas for ongoing projects: IoT for Smart City, sustainability, and remote monitoring Exploring various AI/ML opportunities 5G race car setup and project extensions Robotics using robot arms and other setups Investigating new 5G use cases Various AR, VR and XR applications and use cases IT security projects Front-end and back-end solutions using different tools and technologies Development of new tools, ways of working, simulators and agents We are looking for candidates with interest and skills in several of the below fields: Students with the “Maker Space” gene Interested in early demo and proof-of-concept development Interest and capability to work in a startup-style environment Keen on IoT and connecting things that benefit from being connected Interest in automation, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, user interfaces, Linux, networking Development and hacking experience with hardware (Arduino or Raspberry Pi, sensors, etc.) Ability to learn and build mockups and MVPs (Minimum Viable Products) Genuine interest in working with people, team player, sharing ideas and feedback B.Sc. / M.Sc. students (We prefer candidates who are 3-5 years into their studies) We want you to work approximately 15 hours per week during the spring semester, and the internship then transitions into a full-time summer internship in June 2026.
