Vanderlande’s EMEA Project & Service Control team is offering a challenging internship where you can contribute to financial insights and process improvements while learning directly from experienced Controllers. The assignment focuses on supporting the financial reporting and analysis of large-scale projects and service contracts. We continuously work on improving forecasting, automation, and ways of working. As an intern, you will explore how data can be better structured, visualized, and used for decision-making. Your research could address questions like: How can we improve the accuracy and efficiency of our financial forecasting process through automation and smarter use of data tools? This internship is ideal if you are curious about finance controlling, data analysis, and international teamwork. Department description You will join the EMEA Project & Service Control team who is responsible for the financial performance of Vanderlande’s projects and service contracts across Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America. The team works closely with Project Managers, Finance colleagues, and senior business stakeholders, providing insights that guide strategic decisions. The team is international, with members based in Veghel, London, Barcelona, and Paris. As an intern, you will be based in Veghel and work in a hybrid, collaborative environment where knowledge sharing, teamwork, and continuous improvement are key. You will have exposure to both project- and service-related finance activities. Tasks/responsibilities Support Controllers with financial reporting, data preparation, and variance analysis Contribute to monthly forecasting cycles by preparing data sets and identifying deviations Assist in creating and improving dashboards in Excel and/or Power BI Research opportunities to automate recurring tasks and improve efficiency Draft recommendations for smarter financial processes based on your findings Your profile Strong analytical mindset and eagerness to learn Basic knowledge of Excel (advanced skills are a plus) Interest in data visualization (Power BI or similar is nice to have, not required) Good communication and teamwork skills Curious, proactive, and interested in process improvement Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus but not required) *Mandatory enrolment to a Dutch Education System & resident of The Netherlands.
