Description
We are seeking Sabahan and UMS students to join our internship programme with REX BSM, MPM. The role involves supporting efforts to unlock the frontier onshore and offshore basins of Sabah by compiling and integrating exploration data from the 1880s to the present. The Resource Exploration Sabah team under the Basin Strategy Management Section is responsible for identifying and unlocking new exploration opportunities across the Sabah region. The team compiles and analyses geological data from the 1880s to the present, integrating historical information with the latest datasets. These insights are used to plan future data acquisition and geological studies for both onshore and offshore areas. The Sabah region is evaluated across four main basins—Sandakan Basin, Tawau Basin, Kinabalu Basin, and Layang‑Layang Basin—along with the Kudat Sub‑Basin, which forms part of the onshore–offshore petroleum system.
