Description Denver Rescue Mission (parent company of Fort Collins Rescue Mission and Harvest Farm) is a 501(c)3 non-profit Christian organization committed to changing lives in the name of Christ by serving people experiencing homelessness and poverty. Through emergency services, rehabilitation programs, transitional housing, and community outreach, we aim to meet both physical and spiritual needs while helping people achieve lasting transformation. Interns at Fort Collins Rescue Mission and Harvest Farm have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, faith-based nonprofit environment. Interns support the Mission's programs and services while developing professional skills in our various internship roles. This internship is ideal for students or emerging professionals who are passionate about serving others, growing in their faith, and learning how a nonprofit organization operates to make a lasting positive impact in the community. Our internship program hosts 3 cohorts each year (Fall, Spring, and Summer) Responsibilities of an intern vary from position to position but we desire that each intern grows educationally, professionally, and spiritually during an internship with Denver Rescue Mission at our locations in Northern Colorado. Requirements Current college student, recent graduate, or professional looking to gain experience in a non-profit human services setting. Passion for serving individuals experiencing homelessness, addiction, and poverty in alignment with Denver Rescue Mission's Christian values and statement of faith. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage respectfully with diverse populations. Reliable, organized, and able to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to learn and take initiative under supervision from a site supervisor. Ability to always maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Must successfully complete a background check and drug test prior to the start date.
