Internship - Psychological Operations Branch (PsyOps) Primary Location: Brunssum, The Netherlands NATO Body: Headquarters Joint Force Command (HQ JFC) Brunssum Office: Psychological Operations Branch (PsyOps) Schedule: Full-time Closing date for applications: 22 April 2026 Stipend: € 1477.30 (2026 rate) per month (taxable) Description: As an intern in the Psychological Operations Branch at HQ JFC Brunssum, you will conduct qualitative and quantitative research on specific demographics or audiences within a designated country or region. About the internship: During this 6-month programme, starting 1 February 2027 until 30 July 2027, you will join the Psychological Operations Branch. The PsyOps Branch is looking for an intern to assist in, identifying behavioural, cultural, political, and social trends affecting defined populations by monitoring open-source information streams to track narrative shifts, sentiment changes and emerging themes within specific audiences. The requirement will be to produce concise research briefs, analytical summaries and presentation materials. The ideal candidate must: be enrolled and undertake a Bachelor’s degree in the field of Social Psychology, Marketing, Sociology, Russian Studies, Political Science, Political Theory, History or similar; possess knowledge of international organisations including the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation; be able to effectively plan and organize the working time; have the ability to work under pressure. In addition, we are looking for candidates having the following desirable skills: strong computer skills (e.g. ECDL) including use of Microsoft Office package; Russian language; be dynamic, self-motivated and personable with an ability to work in a team environment with people from diverse backgrounds. Stipend: You will be compensated at a fixed taxable rate of € 1477.30 (2026 rates), per month based on 37.5 hours internship work hours per week. We will also compensate you for travel costs to/from university to HQ JFC Brunssum (within set cap rates). Interns will be entitled to 2 days of leave for each full month (of 37.5 hours a week) of internship.
