INTERNSHIP IN MATERIAL FLOW MODELING (D/F/M)

Are you looking for an internship and want to get to know the work of an Industrial System Engineer for Modelling and Simulation (Discrete Event Simulation) (d/f/m)? Then apply now! We look forward to you supporting us in the Modelling & Simulation for Digital Twin department as an intern (d/f/m)!
Location: Hamburg
Start: 01.09.2025 or later
Duration: 6 months
The internship will support the modeling team by the execution of modeling use cases and with the extension and maintenance of the modeling library.
Your location
You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Evaluate current and future industrial system solutions and give recommendations.
  • Use and execute process, method and tools dedicated to Industrial system design in order to deliver best in class industrial system.
  • Use and deliver models using MBSE simulation tools and techniques dedicated to Industrial (flow simulation, 3D simulation, ergonomics, …).
  • Develop corresponding standard libraries for flow simulation models.
  • Support the developing, testing, documentation of Airbus library elements.
  • Support the development of an approach for postprocessing of simulation results by using state of the art evaluation and visualization means

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Enrolled full-time student (d/f/m) Bachelor in the area of business Informatics , industrial mathematics, business informatics or similar.
  • Practical experience (6 months) in the field of Modelling and Simulation with Discrete Event Simulation tools (Anylogic) is mandatory.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Programming skills in Java are desirable.
  • Knowledge within Production and Logistics would be beneficial.
