Description
Provide applied engineering in the areas of power system studies, power quality analysis and electrical power system design. Performing short circuit, overcurrent coordination, load flow, power quality and arc flash hazard analysis studies. Review project specifications, single line diagrams and equipment Bill of Materials. Prepare power system study data requests and follow up as required. Assist with electrical substation and protection & control design tasks. Manage paperwork and office procedures. Perform all work at a high level. Perform other duties, as required. All Candidates must be currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering Degree program with preference given to 3rd and 4th year students with a focus on electrical power systems. All Candidates must possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license This position does not offer relocation. All Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship, now and in the future. Experience in the use of SKM PTW, ETAP, EDSA, CYME, or EasyPower power system analysis software would be a plus. Ability to read and understand single line diagrams and schematics would be an asset. Knowledge of applicable electrical code requirement and design practices an asset.
