The Digital Security team works to protect the organization’s systems, applications, and data from evolving threats. The Digital Security intern will focus on strengthening the security controls of business applications by supporting structured application security assessments, identifying control gaps, and helping improve overall application risk visibility across the organization. Job Description APPLICATION SECURITY ASSESSMENTS Support the execution of structured security assessments across a portfolio of business applications Participate in application walkthroughs to understand application architecture, access flows, and usage Review and validate key security controls such as authentication, authorization, access management, and logging practices Document findings in a clear and structured format SECURITY CONTROL VALIDATION Assist in evaluating how access is granted, reviewed, and managed within applications Review documentation related to data handling and user roles Identify potential control gaps and escalate observations to the Digital Security team DOCUMENTATION & PROCESS IMPROVEMENT Maintain tracking documentation for assessments and follow-up items Help standardize assessment templates and reporting formats Contribute to improving repeatable assessment processes Qualifications WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR: Actively enrolled in a college or university undergraduate or graduate program (Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field preferred) Available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship Demonstrated cybersecurity related initiatives through academics, work experience, or extracurricular involvement Comfortable reviewing technical documentation and learning new systems Strong verbal and written communication skills A growth mindset, with the ability to learn quickly, adapt to new environments, and incorporate feedback Additional Information The compensation for this position is $33 per hour.
