Description Position Title: Internship Program Participant Department: Varies (based on placement) Reports To: Assigned Supervisor / Department Manager Position Summary Kanza Mental Health & Guidance Center offers internship opportunities for students seeking to gain hands-on experience in the behavioral health and human services field. Interns will have the opportunity to apply classroom learning in a professional setting, develop career-related skills, and contribute to meaningful projects that support our mission of improving the quality of life for individuals and families in our community. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assist staff with assigned projects, research, and administrative support. Observe and participate in client services, meetings, and programs (as appropriate to academic requirements and confidentiality guidelines). Conduct research and prepare reports or presentations as needed. Support community outreach, education, and program development activities. Maintain professional conduct, confidentiality, and ethical standards at all times. Complete required hours as determined by academic program or internship agreement. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Qualifications Currently enrolled in a college or university program (undergraduate or graduate). Preferred areas of study: Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Counseling, Public Health, Business Administration, or related fields. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Professionalism, dependability, and a willingness to learn. Internship Details Schedule: Flexible; based on academic requirements and organizational needs. Location: Hiawatha, KS Duration: Typically one semester (may vary depending on student/employer need).
