Do you love organizing and hosting events? Are you a proactive person who thrives in a dynamic and international environment? Then apply now and join us as our new External Events & Communications Intern in our Utrecht office starting March/April 2025!
In this internship, you will be part of the External Education Team within our Research and Innovation (R&I) business category. Our purpose is to engage with and educate healthcare professionals on the Danone product portfolio. During this internship, you will collaborate with many cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Medical affairs, External agencies and Facilities. You will play an integral role in a small team supporting with local and international event management and coordination initiatives.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the coordination and organization of Country visits for healthcare professionals of the R&I center (catering, meeting agendas, meeting minutes)
- Help organize and attend international congress events that showcase the Danone portfolio and the science behind our products
- Supporting with our internal PR campaign to raise awareness of the team’s activity including managing our Workplace communications calendar, as well as generating a quarterly newsletter to share updates on our activities
- Administrative activities including managing and coordinating hotel allotment, travel and transportation, team activities, generating purchase orders and managing outstanding payments

About you
- You are currently enrolled as a Bachelor/Master student pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Event Management or other related fields
- You are not afraid to take initiative
- You thrive in a team environment but can also work autonomously
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, excel)
- Social Media Savviness
As an External Events & Communications intern, event management will be second nature to you. You can work in a fast-paced environment and have great organizational skills. On top of that? You’re an energetic problem solver who’s always looking for opportunities to learn and develop.
There are also some compulsory requirements:
- Enrolled as a Bachelors/Masters student during the whole internship period (if you are a non-EU citizen, you need to be enrolled at a Dutch university);
- Ideally available to start in March/April 2025 for a minimum of 6 months (preferably 9 to 12 month), 5 days per week;
- You are fluent in English - spoken and written; French is considered as a plus;
- You are able to work from our Utrecht office, at least 2-3 days per week;
- Please note that you are required to relocate to the Netherlands (if abroad) for this internship and get a BSN.
