Description

INTERNSHIP – SOFTWARE TEST ENGINEER IN HEALTHCARE SOLUTIONS

Are you seeking an internship where you can apply your skills, learn from experienced professionals, and make a meaningful impact? At Systematic, we develop healthcare software that supports doctors, nurses, and patients every day. As a Software Test Engineer Intern, you will contribute to ensuring that our solutions are reliable and of the highest quality.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We envisage that you are currently studying Software Technology Engineering, Health Technology, or a similar programme. Equally important is your motivation to learn and your readiness to contribute. You are curious, structured in your approach, and capable of taking responsibility for your tasks.

You are likely to thrive in this role if you:

  • Have a flair for analytical challenges and problem-solving
  • Can work both independently and collaboratively
  • Are responsible and open to learning new skills
  • Speak and write English fluently (Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement)

The internship is a full-time position lasting five months, commencing on 2 February 2026. It is a paid position if your study programme allows.
Please note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO and/or an EU country for the past seven years as we work with security-classified projects. Read more here.

YOUR ROLE AS A SOFTWARE TEST ENGINEER INTERN

In this role, you will assist in quality assurance and gain insight into the full development process. You will have the opportunity to work with tools and technologies such as JIRA, Kubernetes, Docker, Postman, GIT, TeamCity, HTML, CSS, and SQL. You are not expected to be an expert in these already — what matters most is your eagerness to learn and your willingness to challenge yourself.
Your work will extend beyond simply identifying bugs. You will gain insight into how risks are analysed, how requirements are translated into test cases, and how features are tested and qualified before reaching end users.

Your daily tasks will include:

  • Participating in daily Scrum meetings
  • Manual testing and qualifying new features
  • Collaborating closely with Test Engineers, Test Managers, Developers, Architects, and Project Managers
  • Creating and executing test cases based on requirements and user stories
  • Reporting and clarifying defects
  • Contributing to test automation
  • Creating test design and test strategies
