Internship Space safety engineer (SST)

Within our GMV team in Romania, we offer an exciting internship opportunity to motivated individuals who are passionate about the synergy between aerospace engineering and software development.
This position will provide hands-on experience in the field of Space Security, working on cutting-edge projects that contribute to the safety and sustainability of space operations. Our goal is to prepare students nearing the end of their university studies (Bachelor or Master) for a career in the space domain.
This internship provides valuable exposure to the challenges and opportunities of space security, with the possibility to continue with us as a full-time team member upon successful completion of the internship.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

We welcome applications from students or recent graduates with a background in any of the following areas:

• Aerospace Engineering: Basic knowledge of orbital mechanics, satellite operations or related fields. Interest or basic knowledge in aerospace concepts.
• Software engineering: Solid knowledge of coding and experience in algorithm development or simulation tools. Familiarity with programming languages (e.g. Python, C++ or similar).

We are looking for a strong interdisciplinary interest in aerospace and software engineering. Enthusiastic about learning and applying new skills in a collaborative environment.
