Your role: Triboelectric charging of powders often has a negative impact on powder processing and handling operations. During your internship your work will focus on the setup, development and optimization of systematic measurements of related properties. This will allow a holistic assessment and deeper understanding of the triboelectric charging of organic powders. Your work will involve setting up one new measurement method, with strong focus on obtaining robust results. For this, a strict control of parameters like grounding, humidity conditions, etc. has to be assured. Furthermore, you will perform measurements with other established methods like automated image analysis, volume resistance, flowability and surface energy to fully characterize the powder and its manufacturability. This will involve close cooperation with other labs.
