We have been serving seniors for over 65 years and are grounded in a customer-first service commitment with a unified mission of providing a great senior living experience. We are excited to offer a 10-week paid internship program, June 1 - August 7, designed to give college students or recent graduates who are interested in the long term care field an opportunity to get practical experience in their specific field of study while also receiving professional development and a better understanding of the long term care industry. As an Intern at Tel Hai you will benefit from the following: A structured program giving you an overview of each department while also focusing on a specific department related to your field of study. Here is where you will learn about and be involved in day to day activities, giving you hands on learning opportunities and special projects. A mentor to provide learning opportunities and continued guidance and support throughout the program. Professional development in areas such as communication and leadership. A comprehensive understanding of our operations, fostering a strong foundation for a possible future in long term care. Completion of a final project where you will be able to take what you have learned to address a real-world challenge that Tel Hai may face. Networking opportunities. A career pathway for future employment opportunities within our organization. Compensation for your time in the program at $15.00/hour. Three Internship Opportunities Available: (you will select area of interest during the application process) Finance (finance/accounting): Enhance your knowledge of finance, accounting, and budgeting processes in a professional environment. Gain hands-on experience in financial systems and reporting tools. Develop skills in data organization, audit preparation, and financial analysis. Suggested fields of study for candidates include Accounting, Finance, and other related majors. Lakeview Personal Care (nursing/health care): Enhance your knowledge of working in a Personal Care through experiences with Administration, Nursing, Marketing, Recreational Therapy, and Social Services. Gain hands-on experience in the areas mentioned above including observation and training in areas such as daily care, medication administration and health assessments, social services, admissions, audits, etc. Develop skills in working directly with seniors including those with dementia, regulatory requirements, administration, etc. Suggested fields of study for candidates include Nursing and other health care related majors. Human Resources (human resources/communications/video technology): Enhance your knowledge of communications, technology & video production, and human resources by supporting human resource initiatives and exploring technology improvements. Gain hands-on experience producing videos, digitizing, and improving communications through AI, gamification, etc. Further develop your skills in video and other technology, human resource operations, professional communications, etc. Suggested fields of study for candidates include Video Production, Instructional Technology/Design, Communications, Human Resources (with a focus on technology), and other related majors. Requirements Internship Qualifications Include: Must have completed at least 1 year of college by May 2026. Must be able to commit to at least 9 weeks of the 10 week program. Must submit an explanation of your interest in long term care and your field of study as well as your career aspirations. (You will complete this during the application process.)
