ABOUT THIS POSITION

One of the main questions in theH2Future project is elucidating the state of the art of the manufacturing of MEAs, which are the core part of a PEM electrolyser. An understanding is needed about all the steps involved in the manufacturing and assembly process, including the equipment needed, the costs associated, the labor requirements, and the main characteristics of the process. Furthermore, knowing what the current cost of MEA manufacturing is and how the cost is distributed along the manufacturing steps, can help to pinpoint what the crucial steps are towards optimizing costs, throughput rates, and on what steps of the MEA manufacturing process can high tech manufacturing be implemented.
