NOW HIRING: LICENSED INTERVENTION SPECIALIST HIGH SCHOOL (ON-SITE POSITION)

Location: Near Akron, Ohio

An alternative high school program just outside of Akron is looking for a dedicated Intervention Specialist to provide structured academic support through in-person services. This role uses a hybrid delivery method (push-in and pull-out only) to meet students where they areacademically and emotionally. All instruction is conducted on-site.
This is a full-time, 11-month position (July off), offering consistent hours and a full benefits package.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Active Ohio Intervention Specialist License (must be full licensure; no substitutes)
• Completion of Science of Reading training is mandatory
• Experience with alternative or high-needs student populations preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team structure

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• Student Group: High School (Alternative/Transitional population)
• Service Model: Push-in and Pull-out (all services provided in-person)
• Work Hours: 40 hours per week
• Contract Length: 11 months annually (July off)

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Supporting students with IEP-driven instruction inside the classroom and in small-group settings
• Collaborating with general education teachers and service teams
• Monitoring academic growth and adjusting instruction as needed
• Attending IEP meetings and contributing to goal-setting and documentation
• Helping students transition through various phases of their education
