Job Posting Title: Intervention Specialist - SEL Job Description: Provides consultation or direct service in the areas of social, emotional and behavioral functioning to meet the individual needs of students in order to improve both academic achievement and social competence. Collaborates with school staff and administration to lead and support universal and targeted social emotional supports for all students. Develops and promotes good community relations among various district and community clientele. ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: - Occasional lifting five (5) to ten (10) pounds. Provide leadership in the implementation of prevention strategies or programs at the school level. Implement or support implementation of student behavior intervention plans. Consult with staff and support the provision of accommodations for students. Provide leadership in the implementation of and training in the school’s social emotional learning framework or program. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. DCSD will award up to 7 years of previous licensed teaching experience at the time of hire.
