Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

  • Listening to individuals will be a key aspect of the role and involves focusing, observing, understanding, and responding with empathy, genuineness, respect, acceptance, non-judgment, and sensitivity.
  • Assist individuals through appropriate person-centred interventions to be able to address and help with any mental health issues clients are experiencing.
  • As an intervention worker, you will be working closely with individuals who are experiencing mental health issues and/or episodes of psychological/emotional distress.
  • To offer support, information and guidance to people who use the Crisis Sanctuaries drop in service.
  • Signposting of specialist local services to clients, actively listening to their needs and suggesting appropriate support
  • Liaising with colleagues to arrange and organise programme resources and activities.
  • Ensuring accurate record keeping in line with requirements of the service.
  • Positive and professional working relationships with clients, colleagues and stakeholders.
