Description

CMP is a global manufacturing company with 6 manufacturing and distribution facilities throughout Canada, the United States, Italy, Australia, and China. CMP supplies the recreational and commercial marine industries with a broad range of products for various industry segments, including anchoring & ground tackle, corrosion, dock & boat accessories, and steering & controls. CMP manufactures and distributes products under the brands, Martyr, Rocna, Vulcan, Titan, Panther, Dock Edge, Octopus, Intellisteer, Sanitation Equipment and, Trollmaster.
The Inventory Accounting Clerk is responsible for providing inventory support activities for CMP Group Ltd. The inventory accounting clerk will be responsible for assigned inventory reconciliations and invoicing to third parties for consigned inventory.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-5 years of experience as an Inventory Accounting Clerk or in a similar role in a manufacturing or similar industry
  • 3-5 years of inventory reconciliation and consignment inventory experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in consignment inventory transactions, third party invoicing for consigned inventory, receiving shipments and recording inventory adjustments
  • 3- 5 years of experience using ERP software, basic finance software and Microsoft Office
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Diploma/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business administration, finance, or analytics
Responsibilities
  • Maintain part maintenance including the monthly updating of part maintenance costs.
  • Monitor for negative inventory, investigate cause, correct and train users to prevent poor practices.
  • Regular reconciliation of all off-site inventory locations
  • Support and close cycle counts
  • Consignment inventory transactions, including issuing invoices, receiving shipments and recording inventory adjustments.
  • Regular reconciliations of consignment inventory.
  • Investigating inventory differences, obtaining appropriate approvals and inputting adjustments to Visual.
  • Cross trained in various other activities to provide vacation coverage and assistance.
  • Projects as assigned.
  • Continually challenge the status quo and identify ways to improve process and efficiency within role, department and company.
  • Promote safe work practices as outlined in the Worksafe B.C. regulations.
  • Ensure the Company’s quality policies and procedures are followed.
  • Participate in 1 X 1 meetings with Cost Accounting Lead.
  • Perform all other related duties as required.
