Description

Why You Will Be Excited About This Role

Step into a national operations management role within a well-established, leading manufacturing business located in purpose-built facilities - Ipswich Head Office.

All Purpose Coatings' Directors have steered the business to success and are now looking to take on more strategic roles. This has created a new opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to take ownership of the day-day running of the business.

With the Directors focusing on strategy, new revenue streams and the future of the business, you will have the ownership of operations as the single point of coordination and accountability. Twelve months in, success looks like a business that runs smoothly without the Directors: production on plan, branches always stocked, campaigns landing on time, and a leadership team that's accountable and aligned.

  • Ownership - spanning manufacturing, production, logistics, marketing, admin, and customer experience
  • Build from a strong foundation - step into an established, respected business and shape how it's run operationally, including driving efficiency gains
  • Direct access to the Directors - work closely with owners as their trusted operational partner, not through layers of management

Why You Will Like Working Here

All Purpose Coatings has built its reputation on product quality and service, and the Directors remain closely involved in the business. Because the business spans manufacturing, production, warehousing, marketing and customer experience under one roof, you'll have broad exposure across every part of a modern manufacturing operation, not a narrow slice of it.

The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity is now available for an Inventory Administrator to join our growing team based in Brendale.

This is a hands-on role that requires strong attention to detail, efficient multitasking, confidence working with spreadsheets and the ability to communicate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Working as part of a national operation, you will work closely with Customer Service, Warehouse teams, suppliers, freight providers and management across our Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor stock levels and availability across all warehouse locations.
  • Run, review and maintain inventory and stock movement reports.
  • Coordinate stock transfers between warehouses.
  • Track freight and container movements and communicate updates to relevant teams.
  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies where required.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and reporting.
  • Liaise with warehouse teams, suppliers and freight providers regarding stock movements and deliveries.
  • Support inventory accuracy through reporting and reconciliation.
  • Maintain organised records and follow up outstanding tasks.
  • Assist with identifying opportunities to improve stock management and administrative processes.

About You

We are looking for someone who is organised, reliable and enjoys working in a fast-paced operational environment. You will ideally have:

  • Experience in inventory control, administration, or a similar coordination role.
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills.
  • The ability to analyse information and investigate discrepancies.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence using Microsoft Office.
  • Experience using an ERP, WMS or inventory management system is desirable.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • The ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team.
  • Practical problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
  • A positive, professional and proactive approach to work.
