Description

KEY ACTIVITIES:

  • Canada/US Stock Reporting – Middle Office to Back Office Reconciliation.
  • Analysis and investigation of Gains/Losses.
  • Internal business stakeholder stock liaison – Responsible for query management.
  • Terminal liaison for all stock reporting requirements.
  • Handling/Resolving queries in timely manner through effective communication, and liaising with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Proactively seeking to improve or create processes that benefit all involved parties.
  • Maintaining a high level of customer service and ensuring that all service level agreements are complied with.
  • General Finance/Stocks Month end duties.
  • Project Work: System Integration (Internal/External) of various ERP’s (i.e. TPT, Toptech, INV/Easy Invoicing, etc.).
  • Support the Compliance Analyst with Daily Stock Reconciliation process across all North American operations and locations.
  • Reconciling data from multiple sources, ensuring volumetric data corresponds directly to various stakeholder financial processes.
  • Credit Support Backfill (run direct debit, enter bank deposits to clear invoices, setting up manual pulls at the bank, Overdue Report, Credit Risk Report, Cashflow report, etc.)

SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

  • Knowledge or prior experience of accounting and finance, including month end close and double entry bookkeeping.
  • The ability to maintain excellent attention to detail in a fast-paced, high pressured environment.
  • A high level of organization and motivation, with the ability to work to multiple deadlines and to prioritize workloads calmly and effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to develop trusting and credible relationships with all levels of the business.
  • The ability to reconcile data from multiple sources and the confidence to challenge discrepancies should they arise.
  • A flexible and adaptable attitude. Understanding the overall goals of the team, you will have the ability to use your initiative, challenge the status quo and actively consider new ways of working in order to achieve them.
  • Ambition, enthusiasm and wanting to progress within a reputable and fast moving organization.
  • An advanced level of IT literacy including competency with Microsoft Excel, and other data analytic tools such as Microsoft Power BI and Tableau.

SKILLS/ATTRIUTES DESIRED:

  • Knowledge of Oracle.
  • Oil & Gas Industry Experience.
  • Experience of detailed reconciliation responsibilities.
