TransCold delivers to Major Grocery, Drug, Gas & Convenience and Independent Retailers through Direct to Store Delivery (DSD) and Warehouse Fulfillment, and provides services for mobile vendors, corporate events, and third-party logistics (3PL) customers. With over 200 employees, TransCold is growing rapidly and looking for talents. We are currently looking for an Inventory Analyst who will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing excess stock and waste. This role involves working closely with supply chain, warehouse, and finance teams to maintain accurate inventory records and inventory valuation. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with inventory management systems, and a keen eye for process improvement.
This is an intermediate level role and ideal for an experienced inventory control professional who is looking to build upon their experience in a high-volume, fast paced, and multi-provincial distribution centers. This is a 100% office-based role.

Responsibilities

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work within the team to monitor and improve the inventory position by analyzing inventory statistics, transactions, and past history.
  • Identify root cause and resolving discrepancies in inventory and conducting reconciliation.
  • Generate routine and ad hoc inventory reports.
  • Lead the inventory risk assessment and mitigation activities.
  • Maintain and update inventory data covering internal and 3PL inventories and reports.
  • Leads the communication on Best Before Dates report.
  • Handles the Returns Process in coordination with warehouse and Operations teams.
  • Lead the Year-End count and related procedures.
  • Assist in Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR) and recall procedures.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) documents as required.
  • Works closely with Operations, Accounting, and Sales on projects solving inventory issues.

YOU WILL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE:

  • 3-5 years’ relevant experience in disciplines of Inventory, Warehousing, Logistics, and Purchasing.
  • Post-secondary education with courses related to Supply Chain or equivalent training and experience.
  • Enrolment in and working towards accreditation of SCMP by PMAC or equivalent is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Inventory management practices including proper forecasting, increasing turns, and slow-moving inventory.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Excel includes creating and editing macros and utilizing other advanced functionality.
  • Knowledge and experience with Warehouse Management (WMS) and Procurement systems, ideally Koerber.
  • Experience with ERP systems, ideally SAP Business One.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, proven ability to apply these in a business environment.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
