JOB SUMMARY

The Inventory Analyst will drive a wide range of responsibilities, including systematically analysing the production activities for manufacturing toll and packaging facilities.The selected candidate will monitor inventory accuracy and reconcile obsolete and aging inventory; verify and reconcile production related invoices, monitor logistical flow in and out of the facilities while closely working with other departments including Purchasing, Logistics, Planning, Accounting, Marketing and Sales. Other responsibilities include contract management and negotiations; physical inventory management; plant variance analysis as well as various month end closing functions, and coordination of additions and changes to the material master and bill of material.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, or similar discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing capacity required; prefer candidates who have previously held analyst roles in the manufacturing environment and can take initiative.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and ERP in a Manufacturing environment (SAP Experience a PLUS).
  • In-dept knowledge of MRP, Database Applications and Standard Cost/Inventory Controls.
  • Demonstration of multitasking and responsiveness to pressured situations while maintaining a high level of quality, flexibility and a sense of urgency.
  • Advanced Excel knowledge, including pivot tables and vlookups.

Responsibilities
  • Reconcile inventory differences at month end and as needed at UPL and third-party warehouses and tolling sites.
  • Manage control practices for non-conforming stock.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with third-party warehouse and tollers.
  • Provide inventory aging and reserve analysis, and conduct updates of physical inventories.
  • Partner with all areas of the Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing and Sales Departments.
  • Conduct and update physical inventories.
  • Provide information for management review.
  • Submit requests for new material codes and changes to existing material master and bill of material data.
  • Manage and negotiate warehouse contracts.
  • Provide information for management review.
  • Coordinate review of storage invoices for accuracy, coding and submit to internal Finance department.
