Job Purpose Analyze and report on the inventory balances & inventory gains or losses and to review financial information ensuring that the system is working as designed thereby contributing to the accuracy and completeness of inventory accounting records. Principal Accountabilities Inventory Analysis & Reporting Accurate month end reporting and continued enhancement to reporting framework Monthly management report on Inventory volumes & indicators to reflect actual versus plan versus prior year, the information must be accurate and meaningful, with detailed descriptions of over or under reporting. Analysis of inventory variances based on deviations from the agreed standards Business Support Seek further automation of month-end reporting activities in improving efficiency, simplification to ensure business improvement initiatives. Ad hoc requests support provided to the business as and when required, also in new projects to provide insight on inventory activities/portfolio. Maintain all supporting documentation for accounting records purposes Successful external audit as evidenced by limited number of issues and audit findings Assist the SDCO FIC with daily SDCO processing and resolving variances. Business Controls Maintain monthly stock reconciliations for storage locations Maintain monthly stock reconciliations for assigned throughput depots. Assist Inventory Control Manager with analysis & investigations of stock anomalies. Generic Accountabilities Networking And Relationship Building: Foster and sustain effective working relationships and rapport with OU personnel and management, GBS personnel and Central team. Foster and sustain effective working relationships and rapport with the government authorities, business and management institutions, national and key industry players and service providers to keep abreast with latest development to capture new business opportunities. Leadership And Capability Development: Drive the development of competent working team that will enhance and sustain staff capabilities in achieving high performance delivery to ensure internalisation of the right leadership and capabilities in executing their jobs. COBE, POPI and ABC Policies: Communicate, interpret and champion the execution of the company’s policies and provisions of the Codes of Conduct & Business Ethics (COBE), Protection of Personal Information (POPI) and Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC), and undertake appropriate mitigation and/or intervention programmes to safeguard business operations, high staff discipline and industrial harmony. Good Governance: Enforce the implementation of applicable company procedures and guidelines and affect the compliance to statutory and legislative requirements to ensure conformance to the established Manual of Authorities (MoAs) to safeguard the company’s interest, image and reputation. Mindset, Behaviour and Culture: Develop and implement distinctive mindset, behavior and culture to achieve high work performance by adoption and implementing value interventions, tools and methodologies to promote and instill a high sense of commitment, ownership, integrity and loyalty that will contribute to operational excellence. Job Knowledge, Skills & Experiences: Essential NQF Level 7 in Finance 3 years working experience in Supply Chain 3 years’ experience in SAP Advantageous Experience in Supply Chain & related Business Processes Experience in Depot Operations Working Conditions Extra working hours and sometimes weekends in preparation of Audit & year-end.
