CAREER OPPORTUNITY: INVENTORY CLERK (GROCERY RETAIL STORES)

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our team. We’re a growing grocery store chain and are looking for someone who is not only good with numbers and a great communicator. You should be comfortable training others and have the ability to influence people. This role is a perfect fit for someone who is proactive and passionate about problem-solving and developing corrective actions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a territory of up to 20 stores. This isn’t just a desk job; you’ll be out in the field, working directly with store staff and vendors.

EDUCATIONAL /TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE:

· Strong communication skills including verbal and written.
· Experience in inventory management and project management.
· Educational background in business management.
· Valid G-class driver’s license with the ability to travel within the GTA.
· Flexibility to work days, nights, evenings, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate inventory database.
  • Conducting physical counts.
  • Training store associates on essential inventory tasks including but not limited to:
  • Maintaining minimum and adequate stock levels.
  • Placing and receiving orders.
  • The process for transferring stock between locations.
  • Handling damaged products and processing write-offs.
  • Submitting claims and following up with vendors for credit.
  • Managing stock levels by conducting periodic cycle counts and submitting adjustments.
  • Conducting root cause analysis and develop action plans.
  • Coaching associates on proper inventory polices and procedures.
  • Reporting your findings and action plans to management.
