Purpose of the Role:The Inventory Clerk will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring that all inventory-related activities are conducted efficiently and in compliance with company policies. This position reports to the Inventory Manager Your responsibilities can include: Maintain accurate inventory records by conducting regular physical counts and reconciling discrepancies. Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or overages to the Inventory Manager. Assist in the receiving, storing, and issuing of inventory items. Ensure that all inventory items are properly labeled and stored in designated locations. Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of inventory items. Prepare and maintain inventory reports, including stock levels, usage, and discrepancies. Assist in the implementation and maintenance of inventory management systems Follow safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized inventory storage area. Collaborate with other departments to address inventory-related issues and improve processes. Qualifications and experience: Matric 1-2 years of experience in inventory management or logistics. Attributes required : Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements related to inventory management.
