Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager, this individual is responsible for supporting the full inventory function across all six branches in Canada. This key role will be working strategically to assure we are maintaining a healthy inventory level that continually supports sales demand. Through in-depth analysis they will report high selling and slow-moving items to maintain optimal stock control and flow through in our warehouses. This individual will also manage all inter-branch inventory transfers and ensure inventory accuracy is maintained in the system.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration - Supply Chain or related field.
· 5+ years’ experience in warehouse inventory planning and Supply Chain.
· Experience working within a distribution environment supporting various locations.
· Strong analytical skills.
· Experience with databases and spreadsheets.
· Ability to manage and prioritize time effectively.
· Detail oriented; high accuracy reviewing reports.
· Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently.
· Proficient in Excel and SQL
· Exposure to ERP systems preferably EPICOR.

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Mississauga, ON L5L 5Z

Responsibilities

· Manage intra-company movement of products.
· Analyze inventory levels on approximately 7,000 SKUs and suggest re-ordering quantities with timelines.
· Set and maintain the optimum stocking levels, re-order points and re-order quantities for all inventory items taking into consideration cost, usage and lead time.
· Partner with Operation managers and Warehouse managers for regular cycle counts and inventory control.
· Liaise with and maintain effective relationships with operational departments.
· Monitor and maintain healthy stock levels in all branches.
· Identify purchasing needs based on stock levels.
· Develop pro-active measures to minimize low inventory issues and out of stock situations at the warehouse level.
· Identify and investigate inventory reduction opportunities including obsolescence.
· Maintaining and improving the company’s inventory situation by analyzing inventory statistics to determine which products are selling and which are not.
· Maintain product database and upload information in the ERP system when required.
· Prepare inventory reports and analysis as required.
· Assist with inventory forecasting.
· Assist with writing and revising inventory policies and procedures.
· Assist specific projects as requested for supply chain demands.
