Position Summary The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records across multiple company locations. This position supports operational efficiency by conducting cycle counts, researching discrepancies, and assisting with inventory reconciliation. The role requires regular travel between sites, attention to detail, and the ability to work in both warehouse and outdoor storage environments. Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Hourly Pay Rate: $15.00+ per hour - Based on Experience Primary Duties and Responsibilities Rotate between multiple company sites on a weekly basis and travel between locations as operational needs require. Conduct routine and special inventory counts and recounts to ensure accuracy. Research inventory discrepancies to identify root causes and support reconciliation efforts. Prepare and distribute email follow-ups summarizing inventory findings and corrective actions. Assist in placing products on inventory hold and removing items from hold status when authorized. Generate and send inventory count reports to customers and internal stakeholders as requested. Monitor and respond to inventory-related emails, investigating issues in a systematic and timely manner. Utilize the Camelot Warehouse Management System (WMS) to access inventory reports and review item history. Operate handheld scanning devices to scan barcodes, verify locations, and move inventory. Perform inventory counts of various products at multiple warehouse and yard locations. Participate in customer inventory audits and support audit preparation and documentation. Use inventory tools and equipment including flashlights, monoculars/binoculars, scanners, and tape measures. Maintain accurate documentation of inventory activities and findings. Follow all company safety, security, and operational procedures. Perform other related duties as assigned. Work Environment This position requires work in both indoor warehouse settings and outdoor storage/yard environments. Employees may be exposed to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind. Work areas may include uneven surfaces, active vehicle traffic, and material handling equipment. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required. Requirements Qualifications and Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or cycle counting preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to analyze discrepancies and perform basic root cause analysis. Proficient with email communication and basic computer applications. Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanners preferred. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple locations. Reliable transportation and ability to travel between sites regularly. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Physical Demands Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed. Ability to climb ladders or platforms when required. Ability to work in varying temperature conditions. Visual acuity sufficient to read labels, barcodes, and system screens.
