The Inventory Control Order Clerk follows all food orders and ensures that they are released from outside Cold Storage and picked up in a timely manner and, when applicable, transmitted to the Traffic Department for scheduling
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Processes pick tickets for orders. Creates releases and expedite to Cold Storages for shipment, move product as needed and contact warehouses for all shipping status, if needed Notifies the Traffic Department for scheduling when applicable.
· Tracks and manages all Frozen Orders to ensure they are shipped in a timely manner.
· Responsible for gathering back up paperwork on all Frozen orders and invoicing them.
· Works closely with the Sales Admin to facilitate and coordinate with the Sales Team.
· Communicates products needed for orders with the Inventory Control Manager as they come up.
· Processes purchases and helps with other purchases as needed.
· Develops and maintains good working relationships with Cold Storage Facilities.
· Perform special assignments and other related duties (spreadsheets, etc) as requested for coverage
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent communication and clerical skills
· Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.
· Proficient keyboarding skills.
· Extremely organized and attention to detail.
· Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Ability to develop professional relationships with outside vendors.
· Ability to perform basic math calculations.
· Able to work independently and able to problem solve.
· Microsoft Excel a plus
Education and Experience:
2+ years of inventory experience in the food industry
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Experience with computerized inventory systems preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
