SUMMARY:

An Inventory Control Coordinator I at Pacific Seafood is a key role on our Processing team supporting efforts to maintain and optimize inventory control of all stock items. This position involves maintaining inventory levels and correcting any errors and is ideal for someone who has analytical skills, organizational skills, and is detail orientated.

  • Hearing. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.
  • Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
  • Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Take daily action to address negative On Hand Balances, inventory & cost variances, and transaction timeliness.
  • Verify purchase orders and receiving match accompanying documents.
  • Perform root cause analysis on recurring problems and recommend preventive action.
  • Maintain and develop controls and procedures to ensure inventory control process is followed.
  • Recommend corrective & preventive action on the basis of root cause analysis.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the sites you support, providing updates on their inventory status and addressing any issues.
  • Build good working relationships with Pacific’s plants, Controllers, support operations, and vendors.
  • Coordinate with sales, production supervisor and purchasing to maintain inventory par levels.
  • Report on the status & accuracy of inventory levels & transactions to internal customers & external vendors.
  • Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets and databases; prepare and submit reports as required.
  • Track & report on the causes of variances, transaction delays & errors.
  • Initiate regular cycle counts as part of the Reconciliation process.
  • Make prompt inventory adjustments as needed to correct transaction errors or to accurately reflect cycle counts.
  • Analyze inventory variances & information discrepancies for root cause.
    Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position.
