Responsibilities

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Credit Return Management:

  • Process and oversee credit returns in compliance with company policies
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of returns

Code Management:

  • Manage inventory data and coding systems to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Regularly update and maintain databases related to inventory tracking and management

Internal Product Movement:

  • Facilitate the smooth movement of inventory into meat production, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Collaborate with production teams to optimize internal inventory flow

Forklift Proficiency:

  • Operate forklift equipment proficiently and safely for inventory movement when required

Pull Sheets:

  • Generate and manage pull sheets for afternoon inventory requirements, ensuring accurate fulfillment
  • Compile and manage lists for the movement of fresh and freezer inventory according to operational requirements

Managing Short Dated Inventory:

  • Monitor and manage inventory with approaching expiration dates to minimize waste and maximize utilization

Product tracking:

  • Implement warehouse management traceability and tracking within our warehouse software system, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

Counting:

  • Conduct regular cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies
  • Lead quarterly physical inventory processes and conduct in-depth analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities

Continuous Improvement:

  • Ensure accuracy of inventory descriptions and specifications, exploring automation opportunities for efficiency improvements

Invoice Exceptions:

  • Monitor and address inventory-related invoice exceptions, collaborating with relevant departments for resolution

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • 2 years of proven experience in inventory control or related field
  • Proficiency in inventory management software/systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Understanding of inventory processes, accounting for inventory, cycle counting procedures
  • Should be comfortable working in the freezer, when required.
