JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Coordinator to manage our inventory processes effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management and warehouse distribution, with a focus on optimizing inventory levels and ensuring efficient operations. This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with various departments to enhance our inventory management practices.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in supply chain management, warehouse distribution, or inventory control.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data mining, data analytics, and financial analysis.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., AS400) and MRP software is preferred.
  • Experience with logistics processes including shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and materials management.
  • Knowledge of tools such as SQL for data collection and analysis is a plus.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by warehouse operations.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with experience in contracts and supplier relations.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce practices is advantageous.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee inventory management processes, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of stock levels.
  • Coordinate purchasing activities, including sourcing suppliers and negotiating contracts to secure favorable terms.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to monitor inventory flow and maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends in inventory usage and develop strategies for process improvement.
  • Implement root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies and develop corrective actions.
  • Manage logistics related to shipping & receiving, ensuring timely order fulfillment and materials handling.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on demand planning and category management initiatives.
  • Utilize data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau to present inventory metrics and analytics.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring effective supplier management and procurement practices.
  • Assist in financial modeling related to inventory costs and pricing strategies.
