Inventory Control Coordinator Company: MBG Texas Position Title: Inventory Control Coordinator Job Title: Inventory Control Coordinator Reports To: Inventory Control Lead Position Code: ICC Position Type: Full Time Hourly Non-Exempt EEO Class: 5 Workers Comp Code: 8810 SOC Class: 43-5061 JOB DESCRIPTION Reporting to the Inventory Control Lead, the Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and procedures. This role involves coordinating with various departments, use of forklift equipment, and accurate record keeping. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Inventory Management: Complete daily inventory activities, ensuring accurate record-keeping and inventory levels. Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner. Receive and process inbound shipments. Operate forklift equipment as required. Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations. Collaborate with other departments to address inventory-related issues and improve accuracy. Warehouse Operations: Receive, inspect, and process inbound shipments, ensuring the proper documentation and storage. Replenish pick areas from backstock to ensure sufficient stock levels for order fulfillment. Operate forklift equipment and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Perform physical tasks related to inventory such as moving, sorting, and organizing stock. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to facilitate efficient inventory management. COMPETENCIES Attention to Detail – This role requires accurate record-keeping, inventory counts, and discrepancy resolution, making attention to detail critical for maintaining precise inventory levels and compliance. Process Management – Ensuring efficient inventory workflows, coordinating with different teams, and adhering to company policies requires a strong ability to design and manage processes effectively. Time Management – Handling multiple inventory tasks, cycle counts, shipments, and warehouse operations efficiently while maintaining accuracy requires excellent time management skills. QUALIFICATIONS High School diploma or GED preferred. Must be at least 21 years of age. Previous inventory control experience is a plus. Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision. Forklift Experience: Experienced in safely operating forklift equipment and other material handling devices in a warehouse setting. Warehouse Systems: Proficient in using basic warehouse management systems for tracking, counting, and moving inventory. 1-3 years of experience in a warehouse or inventory control (IC) work required. Must be able to pass a background and drug screening for hire and randomly throughout employment.
