JOB SUMMARY:

The Inventory Control Engineer is responsible for managing, processing, and maintaining inventories of materials, equipment, and stock. This role will ensure inventory levels are accurately tracked and reported, oversee procurement transactions, and coordinate the movement of stock within the facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong data analysis skills, be proficient in Microsoft Excel, and have experience in inventory control and procurement.
Wage: $80,000-$90,000 annually

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory control, loss prevention, or a related field.
  • 5+ years experience working with SAP, ERP or JOBBOSS software
  • 5+ years experience in inventory control Mechanical Manufacturing Industry
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis (2 year required).
  • College diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (5 years required) and Microsoft Word.
  • Experience with procurement processes.
  • Ability to lift and carry products up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Experience in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor inventory levels of materials, equipment, and stock using manual or computerized inventory systems.
  • Assign and prioritize inventory duties to meet operational needs.
  • Analyze stock levels to identify shortages or excesses and take corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and create cycle count reports.
  • Use Microsoft Excel to maintain accurate records and generate weekly reports.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with purchasing procedures.
  • Purchase inventory by identifying needs and ensuring timely procurement of materials.
  • Ensure proper stock rotation and handle disposal of outdated stock.
  • Maintain and record parts at various stages of machining, assembly, fabrication, and supplier end for production scheduling, stock replenishment, relocation, and inventory adjustments.
  • Reconcile physical inventories with computer counts on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Familiarity with SAP for inventory management and procurement.
  • Read and understand technical drawings as part of inventory management.
