DESCRIPTION

  • You have a wide scope of responsibility and be accountable for the success of the inventory function and customer satisfaction in a one million+ square foot distribution facility
  • Lead an inventory team, train and motivate staff, evaluate and guide their performance, and nurture their professional development
  • Identify new techniques and analytics to improve the overall planning process
  • Lead the annual cost planning process ensuring accuracy and transparency
  • Oversee and monitor discrepancies via cycle counts and adjustments
  • Implement loss prevention programs to reduce shrinkage and minimize risk
  • Build a recovery program to ensure all defective product is accounted for and handled properly
  • Promote accountability and process improvement based on goals; create action plans and issue resolution tracking
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all inventory roles
  • Manage related quality and accuracy assurance programs, including weekly and monthly reports
  • Create all necessary reports and documentation to facilitate accurate counts
  • Drive accountability and process improvement based on KPIs and targets, including creating action plans and issue resolution tracking

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of experience in a distribution environment, including at least 5 years in a management position
  • 5 years in an inventory leadership role
  • Solid experience in and strong understanding of highly-automated distribution environments
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with SOX inventory controls/compliance
  • 3+ years of WMS experience is a must; experience and expertise in Blue Yonder, Red Prairie, Manhattan, or SAP is a plus
  • Experience handling retail, apparel, or an e-commerce goods in a 3PL environment is strongly preferred
  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) is a plus
