Primary Objective of Position Learn fundamental aspects of the inventory area, including receiving materials, picking finished goods & raw materials for production, kitting; safely storing materials in warehouse racking and utilization of space. Assist with cycle counting and shipping. Fluctuate with the demands of job rotation and adjustments to the normal 40-hour week (overtime) to accommodate workload (in some cases starting early, working nights and/or weekends) --doing what it takes to satisfy our customers. Support manufacturing and support customers through the Customer Service Team. Assist with the smooth flow of all department related work throughout inventory control. Major Areas of Accountability Ensure timely and accurate inventory picks are executed for finished goods and raw materials; this includes timely transactions into the business system. Ensure all finished goods picks are rechecked. Ensure that all inventory entering the Main (C) warehouse (receipts and floor returns) for storage are put away in a timely manner and are entered accurately into the business system from jobs and purchase orders. Assist with cycle counting. Accurately scrap expired inventory in a timely manner by the end of each month. Ensure that print plates, flat bed and rotary tools are received in a timely manner. Keep work area safe, neat and clean. Operate warehouse machinery in a safe, efficient manner while ensuring the forklift, pallet jacks, dock plate, core cutter, etc. checklists are in good working order. Report any issue in need of attention to Supervisor. Report all damage to product and facility to Supervisor promptly. Provide support to other departments and job functions, as requested. Maintain accurate inventory counts; complete periodic physical counts when required. Participate in internal audits as well as external ISO audits as needed. Use existing tools to accurately manage the shelf life of materials. Update department metrics per rotational schedule. Perform other duties as apparent or assigned. Communicate verbally, electronically, and in written form. Shipping: Ensure that all shipments route accurately and on time, including domestic and international destinations, by preparing necessary paperwork. Handle requests for shipment traces as top priority. Communicate professionally with Computype transportation providers as well as those providers assigned by our customers (customer routing guides). Keep abreast of relevant changes in the shipping and international functions and apply those changes to current processes. Assist shipping lead on late shipment tracking. Accurately enter shipping information, including bill-of-lading numbers and freight costs, onto the MRP system and forward job packets to filing within specified time constraints. Ensure that all appropriate shipments are available to be invoiced. Advise finance of those shipments that are not ready for invoicing at week’s end. Complete all tasks as outlined in the P.O.D. Work Instruction. Monitoring E-Commerce requests for shipment, kit creation and stock requests Receiving: Receive incoming shipments to warehouse staging/inspection area, inspect for and document damage and missing materials. Assist with distribution of miscellaneous incoming shipments to correct recipients in a timely manner. Ensure needed inspections are communicated and material processes accurately. Maintain adequate stock levels of shipping documentation, labels, and packaging materials. Pull and deliver requested materials to shop floor timely and accurately. Need for attention to detail ensuring materials are properly tagged and delivered in adequate amounts. Provide support to other departments and job functions, as requested. Keep entire work area safe, neat and clean. Operate warehouse machinery in a safe, efficient manner while maintaining the forklift, postage machine, dock plate, etc., seeing that each is in good working order. Pass and keep OSHA safety certification for power pallet jack operation. Perform other duties as apparent or assigned. Requirements 3 years of previous warehouse experience High school diploma or GED Ability to effectively communicate verbally, electronically, and in written form MS Office computer experience Ability to apply a high level of attention to detail in all functions of job to achieve a high level of accuracy Reach Truck experience is preferred Team oriented mindset Be a problem solver Flexible schedule to accommodate job rotation and workload demands Ability to understand serial and sequence numbering Ability to perform a cycle count Ability to comply with the lifting requirements as set out in Computype’s Safety Policy Compensation and Benefits Base pay for this role is $20.00 - $24.00, commensurate with experience.
