Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for ensuring the rotation of finished goods in inventory to ensure inventory is used on a FIFO basis. Lead the inventory process of finished goods, as well as working with the Distribution Center Manager in reconciling discrepancies in a timely manner. Assist with the documentation within AbiMar’s system for the receiving and transfer of finished goods. Assist with the preparation of year-end inventory Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area at all times Communicate effectively (verbal and written) with all contacts Accept and adapt easily to change Ensure that all activities are consistent with Company Mission Statement Operate job-related equipment with or without an accommodation Meet physical demands of job with or without an accommodation Perform other duties as assigned Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function and assigned task satisfactorily. Experience A high school diploma is required as experience in an inventory related field, strong organizational skills and computer proficiency are essential, specifically SAP and Google Workspace. Bachelor's degree preferred and/or a combination of education and relevant experience Familiarity with company ingredients and packaging materials is also an added advantage in most instances, demonstrating better understanding of the company's goals and expectations.
Responsibilities
The Inventory Control Specialist manages finished goods at distribution centers, ensuring proper inventory rotation using the FIFO method. They are also responsible for reconciling discrepancies, maintaining documentation, and assisting with year-end inventory processes.
