The Inventory Control Specialist (Inventory Management Techncian) has the responsibility and authority to ensure WIP inventory, disposition and storage are processed in accordance with throughput requirements. The Inventory Management Technician proactively resolves inventory issues including aging inventory, bottlenecks, storage and increases in WIP inventory levels. This position is responsible for properly receiving, inspecting, storing, and recording of inbound donor material, as well as receipt, verification and reconciliation of donor procurement cultures from the recovery agencies. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate documentation and consistent labeling between tissues, procurement cultures and accompanying paperwork for every donor received, and rectifying labeling/documentation errors through communication with the recovery agencies. This position must utilize electronic systems, such as ERP, bar code scanners, production schedules, and document management systems.
This includes appropriate inventory transactions, inventory handling, documentation and administrative activities as assigned. Frequent communication with multiple departments is an integral part of the job.
Working holidays or any necessary overtime, on a rotating/ scheduled basis, to ensure production needs are met. Call-in work will be determined on an as needed basis and call-in policy and procedures will be followed accordingly.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • AATB certification
  • CPIM, APICS certification
  • Previous experience in a Regulated, Biotech, or Manufcturing Industry related to inventory management
  • Experience working with ERP and barcoding systems
