JOB SUMMARY:

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for all assigned tasks relating to the inventory control cycle. Documentation of procedural issues and concerns are required. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Food manufacturing experience highly preferred
  • 2-3 years inventory control or logistics experience
  • Strong knowledge of MRP planning systems, Microsoft Office ( Excel )
  • Strong clerical abilities
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to work in team environment
  • Self starter, reliable and able to perform duties without direct supervision

Responsibilities
  • Completes cycle counts and reconciliation of items
  • Works closely with other departments to solve inventory errors
  • Prepares inventory adjustments from damages, donations, and rework
  • Assists production team with one off issues
  • Develops documentation to facilitate accurate inventory counts including records of all audits, counts, and adjustments. Analyzes inventory records and data records to effectively manage inventory.
  • Coordinates physical inventory audits and accounting
  • Reconciles assigned productions for onsite and offsite locations
  • Run reports as needed
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures ( SOPs), plant safety regulations, food safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices
