The Inventory Control Specialist (ICS) is responsible for maintaining productive cross functional relationships that enable the efficient flow of inventory throughout our facilities. The ICS acts as a liaison between procurement and warehousing. The ICS serves as a shipping and receiving Team Lead, responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy through process and procedure adherence and optimization. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provides leadership and direction to ensure efficient product flow. Performs cycle counts / bin audits and reconciliations daily. Investigates and resolves inventory and serial discrepancies. Prepares and submits freight claims. Manages order discrepancies that result from under/over shipments. Rotates inventory based on rank, age, expiration, and ease of access. Tracks and manages expired/outdated inventory for adjustment and disposal. Performs bin consolidations and maintenance - add, delete, consolidate, change status Evaluates and adjusts item slotting based on volume fluctuation and space. Communicates cross functionally to ensure process efficiency and customer satisfaction. Qualifications: High school diploma and minimum 2 years’ experience in inventory control, or related position in a warehouse environment. Experience utilizing ERP software desired; knowledge of Prophet21 by Epicor a plus. Knowledge of 5S and Lean methodologies is a plus. Must have excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 products (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word). Must have strong problem-solving skills, be detail-oriented, and highly organized. Requires excellent communication skills both written and oral. Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects, set priorities, and work independently required. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and reach for product from ground level to approximately 6 ft high. Must be able to utilize pick ladders, push carts, hand trucks (dollies) and other pick-assisting equipment. Must be able to stand and walk for a full 8-hour shift. Forklift experience required.
